Disseminating information in the Google Age Are you responsible for sending out information to your organisation's members, potential members or new audiences? Perhaps you are a newsletter and publications editor or communications, marketing, publicity or information officer or administrator? This event will look at the wide range of free and low-cost electronic tools that are now easily available to make your task simpler and quicker.
This informal event will combine the sharing of experiences with others tasked with performing a similar task to your own, with a valuable and insightful presentation by usability and accessibility expert Gordon Plant.
Facilitator Gordon Plant is lecturer on Interactive Media at Bath Spa University College (www.useranalytics.co.uk). His clients include Arts Council England, the National Council for Voluntary Organistions, the BBC, the Open University, Oxford University Press, Heinemann and the Publishing Training Centre. Gordon will only be running this event twice - so grab the opportunity now! Who can attend? People in voluntary arts umbrella bodies who contribute to the creation of their organisation’s newsletters, email newsletters, magazine, website or other publications - in print or via the internet. You might undertake the task alongside several others, or it might be your sole responsibility. How much? Just £35 including tea and coffee.

By car:
Turn into Sheepcote Street at the traffic light junction by the Novotel, then follow the signposts for the Brindleyplace Car Park. The 903 space car park is situated next to the theatre and is safe, clean and well lit.
By public transport:
New Street and Snow Hill stations are about 15 minutes walk away whilst Five Ways Station on the Cross City Line is just 10 minutes walk. Buses 1C, 9, 10, 21, 22, 23, 29, 103, 109, 120, 126, 139, 140 and 258 run along Broad Street. Taxis can drop passengers at the front entrance.
Access:
The Crescent Theatre has lift or level access to all public areas. There is an adapted toilet on the ground floor and space for up to six wheelchair users in the main house and two in the studio. All staircases have continuous handrails with tactile surfaces at each landing. Both auditoria are equipped with infra-red sound transmissions systems. There is at least one audio described performance of every Crescent Theatre Company Main House production.
